Valentin Celaya is the Oregon Senior Vice President of Credit for Northwest Farm Credit Services. Northwest Farm Credit Services is a financial cooperative providing financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners, and crop insurance customers in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. Northwest is a member of the nationwide Farm Credit System that supports agriculture and rural communities with reliable, consistent credit and financials services, today and tomorrow.
Valentin has been with Northwest since 1997 including time in Washington and Idaho prior to moving to Salem, Oregon in 2015. He provides leadership in the areas of credit analysis, loan structuring, and credit administration. Valentin is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and works with Northwest employees to understand, develop, and apply their unique talents in order to be more successful personally and professionally.
Valentin grew up on a row crop farm in Gooding, Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. He is a graduate of the Western Ag Banking School and Leadership Idaho Agriculture. He and his wife, Teresa, live in Salem with their four children.
