Pat Miller started with the American Seed Trade Association in 2007. His primary focus is the coordination of ASTA’s outreach with state and regional seed industry associations in order to monitor and affect seed-related state initiatives. This includes assistance with legislative, regulatory, and grassroots activities. His portfolio includes hemp seed, grass and turf seed, native seed (cover crops, conservation, restoration), forages, weeds, seed labs and biostimulants.
A 35-year veteran of the ag industry, Pat formerly owned a successful association management firm and counted among his clients the Texas Ag Industries Association, the Texas Certified Crop Advisers program, the Texas Plant Protection Conference, the Texas Independent Ag Consultants Association, and the Texas Agricultural Aviation Association.
Pat holds a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of North Texas, is an Eagle Scout, 32nd degree Mason and avid outdoorsman. He and his wife Kate are the proud parents of five fifth-generation Texans and a sixth-generation granddaughter.
